2008 HEAD COACHES FOR TACKLE TEAMS NAMEDThe tackle football
head coaching positions have been determined for the 2008 season.
We are very proud that all of the head coaches are
from within the Raider organization. We are glad that our
coaches are dedicated to the Raiders and to the players they coach.
2008 HEAD COACHES FOR CHEERLEADINGCheerleading head coaches are now set for the tackle squads. All cheer coaches are from within the Raider organization. Our new cheer coordinator, Michelle Onisawa, has not only coached with the Raiders, she cheered with the program as a participant. We are looking forward to a great year.
COACH TRAINING - TAKING THE LEAD
On March 5, 2007 Joe Ehrmann lectured at a seminar titled, "COACHING FOR LIFE." Each Raider coaching staff attended, several board members, and parents (both cheer and football) attended this seminar (17 total Raider family members attended this seminar). Joe Ehrmann was profiled in the Pulitzer Prize winning book, "Season of Life." The Raider organization is proud to take the lead in coach training and leadership in order to provide the best experience possible for the children in our organization. The main thrust of Joe Ehrmann's style is to emphasize the power a coach has, and to use that power to teach and build character into the young men and women we coach.

STATE CHAMPS PLANT HIGH SCHOOL BURSTING WITH RAIDERS
As you all likely know by now, Tampa's Plant High School won the Class 4A State Championship by beating Nease 25-21. What you may not know is how much of that team is comprised of former Raiders. This picture, taken as Chris Hesson #42 crosses the goal line, shows 5 Plant players...all 5 played for the Raider Organization. Picured are: # 66 Mike Walsh, # 75 Tyler Scarle, # 49 Jonathan Spitz, # 73 Mike Cajigas and # 42 Chris Hesson. A TOTAL OF 12 PLAYERS ON THE PLANT HIGH TEAM ARE FROM THE RAIDERS ORGANIZATION. The other former Raiders on the Plant team are # 1 Cam Martin, # 2 Patrick Carter, # 19 Luke Martin, # 55 Matt Lerom, # 65 Josh McKenzie and # 81 Alan Baird. The Raiders are proud of our players and to be a part of such an incredible story as the Plant High State Championship. Congratulations Plant High School and all of the former Bay Area Raiders on that championship team.
