Cheerleader Spots are Still Available!!!
The Raider Cheerleading program, under the direction of Cheer Coordinator Robin McMillan, has seen a tremendous growth this year. But there are still spots available at each level. Don't miss out on your chance to be a part of the new tradition.
Just a few benefits of being a Raider Cheerleader are:
1. All games and competitions are in Hillsborough County. 2. Cheer coaches with experience from the youth level through the collegiate level of competition, including All-Star and National competitions. 3. Instruction and competition experience for less than $4.25 per hour. 4. A chance to compete against some of the best squads in Central Florida at the USF Sun Dome.

Mini Camp Number 4 Sunday July 12, 2009
3pm to 5pm at the Raider Fields behind the Boys and Girls Club located at 4002 Coolidge Avenue. Registration will be available on site! All participants must be registered in order to participate. This will also be the first day of equipment issue.

There are only limited slots left for football. Please call the Raider Hotline (813-453-9072) to speak with the registrar, Melinda Moore, or attend one of our mini-camps to check on availabilty.
Dates for Free Mini-camps Announced!
Want to try it out but quite ready to commit? Attend our summer mini-camps. The camps are a chance for the kids to get to know their teammates and to have some fun while getting a feel for the organization. Although the camps are free, all registration paperwork must be completed for insurance purposes. All mini-camps are held at the Raider fields behind the Interbay Boys and Girls Club located at 4002 Coolidge Ave.

2009 HEAD COACHES FOR CHEERLEADINGCheerleading head coaches are now partially set for the tackle squads. We are excited that all the Raider cheer coaches have significant cheering and coaching experience. Our new cheer coordinator, Robin McMillan, has many years of cheering and coaching experience all the way through the college level. We are looking forward to a great year.
STATE CHAMPS PLANT HIGH SCHOOL BURSTING WITH RAIDERS
As you all likely know by now, Tampa's Plant High School won the 2006 Class 4A State Championship by beating Nease 25-21. What you may not know is how much of that team is comprised of former Raiders. This picture, taken as Chris Hesson #42 crosses the goal line, shows 5 Plant players...all 5 played for the Raider Organization. Picured are: # 66 Mike Walsh, # 75 Tyler Scarle, # 49 Jonathan Spitz, # 73 Mike Cajigas and # 42 Chris Hesson. A TOTAL OF 12 PLAYERS ON THE PLANT HIGH TEAM ARE FROM THE RAIDERS ORGANIZATION. The other former Raiders on the Plant team are # 1 Cam Martin, # 2 Patrick Carter, # 19 Luke Martin, # 55 Matt Lerom, # 65 Josh McKenzie and # 81 Alan Baird. The Raiders are proud of our players and to be a part of such an incredible story as the Plant High State Championship. Congratulations Plant High School and all of the former Bay Area Raiders on that championship team.
